With the German “Energiewende”, the German government is planning the transition from non-renewable energy sources to sustainable renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable development. The German long-term strategy foresees a renewable energy share of 60% by 2035 and increasing energy efficiency by 20% until 2020. Within the scope of these targets, Germany is developing many new technologies to continuously improve its level of energy efficiency and an increased use of renewable energies. The Arab world is also embarking on long-term strategies to diversify energy resources and increase energy efficiency. With its experience and state-of the art technology, German companies can offer a sustainable contribution to the Arab world`s energy projects.
